You need a tool that helps you think through user journeys, plan features, collaborate with your team during development, and then collect user feedback.

    Overview

StoriesOnBoard is a story-mapping tool that helps product teams identify, manage, and validate ideas throughout development.

StoriesOnBoard lets you brainstorm and map out product features based on your user’s journey by laying it all out as cards on a planning board.

The app supports full keyboard navigation, making it easy to quickly create, update, and navigate to any card—without ever reaching for your mouse.

Assign each feature a level of priority, business value, and effort to understand which features you need to tackle first.

You’ll be able to group cards together into different releases, so your whole team can see which features are shipping together.

    User Journey

Map out your user journeys and prioritize app features accordingly.

Turn your product backlog into a strategic roadmap that gives your team a crystal clear idea of what everybody should be focusing on.

You can sort your roadmap into a quarterly view or a priority-based view, depending on how your team likes to organize their work.

And because you can allow guests to view your roadmap and leave comments, you don’t have to worry about wasting time developing unpopular features.

    Roadmaps

Create roadmaps in a couple of clicks to track your product development progress.

StoriesOnBoard supports full team collaboration—everyone can create, modify, and comment on any card with every change being documented on the card timeline.

You can also add the AI assistant to your team to handle various tasks in the product planning process and free up your plate.

Use AI to brainstorm features, write out user stories, or draft a release announcement that summarizes the features you’re about to ship.

    AI Assistant

Generate product features, user stories, and release notes in seconds with AI.

And with access to thousands of app integrations via Zapier, you can plug StoriesOnBoard into your current workflow without breaking a sweat.

You’ll be able to collect user feedback and ideas from apps like Intercom, Slack, and popular CRM tools.

Integrate directly with GitHub and Trello with support for two-way synchronization, so all changes are reflected on both platforms.

    Integrations

Combine StoriesOnBoard with your current tools via Zapier.

With the right product management tool, it’s almost like you’re pulling a Jedi mind trick on your users. (“This is exactly the feature you want...and won’t mind paying us extra to keep.”)

    From the founder

Behind StoriesOnbOard is a small but dedicated team of dozens of people. The founding partners were college friends who later worked as software developers and business analysts at the same companies.

During the great agile revolution of the 2010s, whiteboards, and sticky notes appeared in the boardrooms of every software development company, along with fancy methodologies and techniques to speed up and facilitate the planning phase of software development, to create a product their customers love and to support communication and collaboration between developers, managers, stakeholders, and client-side representatives

One such user-centric methodology is user story mapping, which became popular worldwide after Jeff Patton's book in 2014. Story mapping is used in the software development process during the product discovery phase and provides both a detailed backlog, a detailed user journey, and a high-level overview of the entire product and project.

All this was done by organizing sticky notes into rows and columns - until the emergence of online tools, one of the pioneering solutions of which was StoriesOnBoard.

StoriesOnboard was an instant success in the global market, as the founders knew very well their target users' needs and pain points from their own experience and the product met an existing and growing market demand - evolving and improving on customer feedback and quality.

The software development boom has brought increased competition and made customer focus and speed to market a core value. Then the pandemic highlighted the need for remote solutions that trigger office presence and foster a common understanding among those involved in product development.

From a simple, online story mapping tool, StoriesOnBoard has evolved into a comprehensive product management platform that is used by global corporations and start-ups alike.

We're proud of the journey we've been on and are constantly looking for new ways to enhance the product and provide even better quality, more extended support to software development teams to develop successful products that users love.
