Do I need to be a business to use Finli?
Finli is made for businesses so it’s most useful for an organization that collects payments (as opposed to an individual). But you don’t need to be a corporation! Many sole proprietors and partners also use and love our platform. You also don’t need to have a business bank account to use Finli. However, please do read our caveats about having a U.S. based business.
Do I need to be in the United States to use Finli
Anyone can sign up and use Finli for issuing invoices. However, if you want to collect payments, you’ll need to have a U.S. bank account and a physical address in the United States associated with your account.
Do my customers need to be in the United States to use Finli?
You can send your invoices to anyone with an email address internationally. Your international customers can make their Finli payments using a credit card. However, our ACH/Bank Transfer currently only works with US bank accounts.
Are there any transaction fees associated with collecting payments with Finli?
Currently, transaction fees are as follows: 0% for ACH Transactions and 3% transaction fees for credit card payments. By default, the person being invoiced pays the Credit Card fee that comes with the payment, but this can be changed so that you absorb that fee.
We may need to increase these transaction costs in the future if our underlying costs rise, but it's our mission to keep these costs as low as humanly possible. Lifetime Deal customers will never be charged higher transaction fees than monthly customers.
What happens if I buy a limited plan and I go over the plan limits for a given month?
If the lifetime deal is live, you can upgrade your purchase if within 60 refund days. Contact PitchGround's support for more information.
If later, this isn’t a problem and we won’t force you to upgrade. Instead, we’ll just charge you the difference between your plan and the plan you used for the month. So if you’re on Plan A and you exceed your plan for the month into Plan B, we’d charge you an extra $45 (this is the difference between the Plan A ($25) and Plan B ($65) monthly equivalents.
Is there any kind of application process to be able to process payments?
We do have a compliance process to onboard you onto our payment platform. If you’re a legitimate business with a US bank account and physical address you should have no problem getting approved in 48 hours! If, for any reason, we are not able to approve your application, we’ll give you a full refund.
How long does it take for me to get my money?
A typical transaction will take 2-3 business days as we process the funds. It can take longer if it’s an abnormally large or irregular amount.
